Team Foxtrot has been competing in the IMechE UAS Challenge in the United Kingdom (UK) for the last four years (2019-2022). The competition is focused on which team can create the best-automated UAV. The challenge is divided into two parts: the tasks performed during the actual flight - such as aid package delivery, speed trial, and endurance - and technical documentation. Both phases have hefty points, and the team with the most aggregate points wins the challenge. Aside from winning the challenge, numerous awards are presented to deserving teams for standing out in certain aspects such as safety, design, airworthiness, business proposition, etc.
In 2019, its debut year, Team Foxtrot won the Highest New Entrant Award. In 2021, the team finished 5th in the world and 2nd in Asia while securing the Business Proposition Award for the first time. In this 2022's spirited competition, the team stood 1st in Asia, 6th in the world at the live fly-offs, and bagged the Business Proposition Award for the second time in a row.
The team has also been invited to national television for interviews by Express News and Neo News. It has articles published on blogging giants such as Metronome, Jaanlo, and Economy.pk. It is encouraging to see national media promoting the concept of engineering autonomy.
